This webinar will present the results and experiences of a large field study.
This trial involves 12 veterinary practices and 39 dairy farmers who have been treating their cows according to a predetermined protocol since summer 2022.

Zyncke Lipkens
Dr. Zyncke Lipkens is a veterinarian working at Animal Health Flanders and the Milk Control Center Flanders. Animal Health Flanders is partner in the ‘On practice project’, to support the veterinarians and farmers with implementing selective treatment of clinical mastitis in the practice.

Lien Creytens
Lien Creytens completed her veterinary degree in 2017 and subsequently dedicated four years to practicing as a veterinarian. Following this experience, she started a PhD with the M-team at Ghent University. Her research focus revolves around examining the consequences of selectively treating non-severe clinical mastitis within the dairy sector in Flanders, Belgium. As part of her PhD, Lien is conducting a field trial that involves training and assisting veterinarians in performing and analyzing rapid tests and in giving advice to the farmer regarding mastitis based on the test results (“on-practice” culture).
