National Dairy AKIS

The National Dairy AKIS (NDA) (National Dairy Agricultural knowledge and Information system) is a national system for knowledge and innovation in the dairy sector. It is composed of networks of dairy farms and various actors such as research centers, farmers' organizations, dairy companies, government institutions, educational establishments, consultants, financial institutions and veterinary services. The NDA aims to facilitate collaboration between all actors involved in the dairy sector, through the exchange of innovations and knowledge. It enables participants to identify their needs and knowledge gaps, and to disseminate best practices. Farm facilitators are responsible for coordinating the various activities of the dairy farm networks and the NDAs. In R4D Farm facilitators and their organisations have the role of One stop shop (OSS). All stakeholders and farmers can address easily the OSS if they need support on an issue or a challenge they face. Thanks to the R4D network the regional OSS can provide contacts of European specialists to local farmers and stakeholders. Contact data and information on the regional NDA can be found below.
