Additional Information

From your point of view, why this farm is interesting to be followed in R4D ?

This company is rather a smaller company in flanders but today, through an operational group, it is investigating the possibility of reducing the cost of concentrates by developing an automatic system that distributes fodder beet (or other tasty roughage) in small portions through the milking robot.

Technical issues involved on this farm

The distribution of roughage such as fodder beet, potatoes, etc. in a milking robot is very innovative. The cutting is done in small particles and a distribution system portions in small quantities.

Environment, animal welfare and society friendly production systems

Using our own roughage instead of concentrated feed, possibly feeding certain waste streams from other farms, and tasty roughage also means using well-being in the milking robot
