Irish pilotfarmers visit farms in Northern Germany

As part of the farmer cross visit element of the Resilience for Dairy initiative, programme member Dr. George Ramsbottom, Teagasc, Ireland arranged for a group of 15 farmers to travel with him to Germany to meet another member of the R4D team, Dr. Ralf Loges from Kiel University. With Dr. Loges help they visited 7 farms in three days. One of the farms is owned by an Irish farming family, the Costellos and located at Brandenburg. The remaining 6 farms, which included a visit to the Kiel University Lindhof farm were located in the vicinity of Kiel.
